Domenic Eggers (*1992, Alfeld) has led the big band since it was founded. He learned piano at the age of six, added clarinet at the age of 10 and saxophone at 14. At the age of 15, he began a preparatory course in music, for which he benefited from extensive experience in various musical ensembles.
After winning prizes in regional and national Jugend musiziert competitions, Domenic began early studies in music in Hanover in 2010 and then, after graduating from high school, began studying for an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree with a focus on jazz, rock and pop, majoring in saxophone in Hanover. Since 2016, Domenic has been studying for a Master's degree in teaching and on the "Jazz and jazz-related music" course.
In addition to his studies, Domenic still finds time for various combos and big bands and fortunately he also has time to lead our big band.
